**Role Summary:**
The Plant Superintendent will oversee the daily operational execution of the Tuas site, aligning with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and achieving all associated performance goals. This role is key to driving operational excellence at the pump Quick Response Center (QRC) in Tuas, Singapore. The successful candidate will manage all facets of workshop and service operations, ensuring efficient planning and execution to meet customer job requirements. This includes overseeing production control, MRP, master data governance, and resource planning. The role requires strong leadership and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, collaboration, and employee development.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Report to the QRC Manager on service performance, operational challenges, and areas for improvement.
+ Lead the workshop and service teams in job scheduling and execution to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and achievement of financial targets.
+ Collaborate with the project management team to evaluate production plans and ensure sufficient operational capacity and capability across planning horizons.
+ Drive optimal resource utilization through effective capacity planning and production control strategies.
+ Oversee service and material flow strategies to improve inventory performance, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, aligned with working capital and customer demand goals.
+ Lead technical execution of rotating equipment repair and service contracts, ensuring quality and timeliness in accordance with Flowserve and industry standards.
+ Maintain high standards of service quality, safety, and compliance with technical guidelines, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management.
+ Establish clear team communication and performance management practices to ensure operational visibility, adherence to standard work, and continuous improvement.
+ Utilize Lean principles in collaboration with the site Continuous Improvement leader to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve lead times.
+ Promote and uphold Flowserve’s values, behaviours, and leadership expectations to cultivate a high-performance culture.
+ Foster a workplace culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and job satisfaction.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related business discipline.(In lieu of a degree, candidates may qualify with many years of relevant experience.)
+ Many years of experience managing a service workshop and leading service engineering teams, with a strong track record in people development and operational improvement.
+ Solid understanding of pump repair and service operations with a focus on performance excellence.
+ Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to interpret and apply financial data.
+ Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial service environment.
**Preferred Experience / Skills:**
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
+ Proven ability to develop and implement technical and operational strategies.
+ Knowledge of industry standards including ASME, ASTM, and API.
