Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD & IMP-AUKUS of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia. Employee's initial pay and compensation will be based upon their current duty station and/or residence as determined by the employing activity. ***See Additional Information section below for details*** Responsibilities You will manage, plan direct, coordinate and review work involving non-nuclear system testing and work controls for HMAS Stirling. You will oversea the total Work Control and/or Test Program to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation with NAVSEA guidelines. You will Approve the Integrated Overhaul Test Program to ensure adequacy of authorized testing. You will manage, direct and coordinate inspections and testing with shops and ships force to accomplish testing. You will serve as central point of contact to independently resolve non-nuclear system testing and work control program or execution problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: Employing engineering testing concepts, principles, and practices to execute non-nuclear system testing for a shipyard. Executing technical expertise and authority in directing, overseeing, and certifying completion of testing, and Setting phased goals to execute long-range work plans and schedules for a technical program segment for engineering shipyard project work.
