Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting department, including budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and staff management. This role will also involve preparing and analyzing financial statements, establishing internal controls, and recruiting and training staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze interim and annual financial statements to identify trends and areas for improvement.
2. Develop and monitor budgets, forecast future financial performance and identify potential variances.
3. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
4. Manage tax planning and execution through the end of the year.
5. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assign tasks, review work, and provide performance feedback.
6. Recruit accounting, financial, human resources, and administrative staff.
7. Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
8. Provide general back up to all accounting positions.
9. Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the Accounting + Finance industry.
3. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
4. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.
5. Proven experience in staff management, including recruitment and training.
6. Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
