THE ROLE

After Hours Services, Secure Care Services and Hurstbridge Farm are specialist statewide services.
• After hours is a state-wide after-hours emergency service that receives reports (new reports, as well as concerns for existing child protection clients) about children who are considered to be at immediate risk and require urgent after hours service.
• Secure Care Services provide two 6-bed gender-specific residential units that are staffed on a rostered 24-hour 'stand up' model. Secure Care is part of a continuum of strengthened care and protection services for child protection clients (generally aged 10 to 17 years) who are at a substantial and immediate risk of harm.
• Hurstbridge Farm has two residential houses, an onsite school, administrative offices, farm equipment sheds and an independent living unit. The houses can accommodate up to six young people with the eligible age range for program entry being from 10 - 14 years of age.
The administration officer is responsible for supporting After Hours, Hurstbridge Farm and Secure Care Services Branch and the services within the Branch, by providing a full range of administrative and operational support functions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Under general direction, provide assistance with office processes and corporate information systems such as records management, financial information, fleet management, client payments and ministerial correspondence.
• Answer queries, provide timely advice and undertake general follow up action as required, including correctly redirecting incoming mail and queries.
• Provide support and assistance in the presentation of meetings and conferences, including coordinating papers, organising venues, catering, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
