The Opportunity:
Our Technology & Digital team has an exciting opportunity for an AI Solution Engineer to lead the advancement of our Generative AI platform, uKnow, built on Azure Cloud.
In this role, you will design, develop, and implement innovative AI products that enhance employee and client experiences while driving organisational efficiency through expertise in Azure AI services, machine learning, and data engineering. Additionally, you will ensure the ethical use of AI and compliance with relevant regulations, contributing to the sustainable and responsible advancement of AI applications.

You will:
- Work with diverse stakeholders to identify use cases and develop AI solutions from concept to delivery.
- Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI solutions using Azure AI services, with a focus on LLMs like GPT-4.
- Provide accurate and timely resolution of complex technical issues.
- Lead and deliver technical and improvement projects.
- Maintain and develop expert technical skills and product knowledge.
- Apply best practices in Change, Problem, and Incident Management.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Influence outcomes through proactive and informed communication.
- Manage multiple assignments and client priorities within agreed timeframes and budgets.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Data Engineering / Data Science role.
- High proficiency in the MS Azure cloud platform and a successful history of linking, manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets in prior roles.
- Advanced skills in Python, SQL along with modelling experience in complex data structures.
- Proven experience in implementing AI products using AI services on Azure Cloud platform, as well as building and optimising data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Proficiency in solution development using diverse tools including but not limited to:
- Significant experience within the MS Azure cloud environment in general and specifically in AI services.
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java and/or C# is desirable.
- Relevant data engineering/ data science certifications in the Azure cloud stack are desirable.
