The Associate, Fire Protection Engineer will play a fundamental role in the production of great design work. Responsibilities & Qualifications The role
Responsible for the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on fire protection systems for different types of buildings, specifically healthcare, sports, aviation, labs and commercial, industrial and precinct level infrastructure.
Participate in the design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for building and infrastructure fire systems.
Lead a design team through the entire project life cycle, supporting the team in client meetings, collaborating with other disciplines and consultants, coordinating site service and electrical requirements, and performing field reviews.
Understanding Regulatory and Building Code Requirements and adhere to responsibilities.
Demonstrating a solid understanding of regulatory codes, standards and guidelines in relation to Fire Protection Services Design, including BCA, Australian Standards, Fire Engineering, etc.
Take ownership for projects from start to finish, meeting project objectives while putting emphasis on sustainable solutions and outcomes.
Promote active, continuous learning and improvement within the team. Cultivate team members' growth through feedback, coaching and career development.
Support Team Lead to plan projects, optimize resources Managing project timelines, budget, and talented resources.

What you bring to the team:
Minimum 8 years of experience providing fire protection engineering in the building industry.
Australian Qualifications Framework - minimum Bachelor Engineering Degree.
Relevant NSW Design Practitioner Registrations for Fire Systems.
Ability to read Architectural, Structural, building services drawings with minimal supervision provided by senior staff.
Good knowledge of construction phase monitoring of completed designs.
A growth mindset to constantly challenge the status quo, to develop optimised solutions for each project.
Excellent advisory and reporting skills - the ability to analyse various sources of information, and clearly communicate these complex ideas with less technical stakeholders.
A collaborative nature - keen to share knowledge with the team and drive excellence across a range of projects.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong report writing, communication and consulting skills.
Possess advanced interpersonal skills with clients and staff, along with advanced communication and coaching abilities.
