Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
Cloud & Custom Applications leverage leading partners and technologies such as AWS, MS Azure and GCP to deliver cloud-native applications and cloud integration solutions to assist clients with their transformation journey. As a Solution Architect, your role is to take end-to-end solution delivery ownership of technology solutions that create business opportunity through innovation for our clients. You will provide insight, thought leadership, and innovation to ensure that the solution meets the client's requirements, is delivered efficiently, and has integrity (is safe, secure, and compliant).
Design and Architecture:
- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Develop and implement cloud architecture strategies that align with business objectives.
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Implementation and Management:
- Implement cloud solutions using AWS services, ensuring best practices and security standards.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with custom applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest AWS services and technologies.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing existing cloud solutions and propose improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Design and implement security controls to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Let's talk about your capability and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
This is a Perth based role and preference will be given to candidates located in Perth with full Australian work rights.
