Our Client; A specialized construction company looking for a full-time Construction Accountant / Bookkeeper to perform daily accounting tasks and support our corporate growth, reporting directly to the owner. Great opportunity in the Aberdeen area
Pay range of $65,000 - 75,000 plus bonus potential, vacation/sick time, full-time M-F, in-office.
Responsibilities
- Create and send subcontracts and purchase orders to our subs.
- Maintain subcontractor files by job.
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
- Create weekly reports for CFO and owner.
- Maintain digital records for accounting and job costing.
- Perform job costing on all construction projects.
- Process accounts payable in a timely manner including verifying purchase order and job.
- Monthly receivable billings to our customers
- Monthly reconciliations as requested.
- Administrative support for licensing and permitting as needed.
Skills
- Work experience as a bookkeeper / accountant in the construction or other service related industry
- Great with technology, forward thinking, good in fast-paced work environments
- Experience with Construction Accounting
- Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Organization skills and strong work ethic
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
