Job Description

CBC Facilities Maintenance Pty Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced full-time Business Development Coordinator to join our expanding national team. With offices in Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth this role provides you with the flexibility and opportunity to be based out of either office depending on your location.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role would enable you to grow your career in a national integrated facilities management business. CBC have a strong culture with a reputation for excellence amongst their clients, so someone who is creative, an extremely strong communicator and is professional is crucial.

The role:

We are looking for an accomplished, outcome-focused Business Development professional to:

  • Take responsibility for identifying, assessing, converting and delivering an expanding range of business opportunities.
  • Work closely with our Executive Management to proactively identify and develop strategic business opportunities and negotiate partnerships.
  • Initiate, develop, and negotiate new business partnerships.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the organisation.
  • Manage and investigate potential new contract opportunities.
  • Develop a network of key industry contacts.
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and service delivery.
  • Support the COO to oversee and coordinate multiple tender submissions as required.
  • Sourcing appropriate subcontractors and ensuring favourable terms are obtained in accordance with company protocols, including standardised terms of contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a high drive for success and strong Business Development and tender experience. You are dynamic and not afraid to take on a challenge when needed. You are confident working under pressure, juggling conflicting priorities as they arise and able to identify risks within contracts as required. You will also have the following:

  • Experience in tender/bids/submissions with an even mix of personal skills and written skills that complement a facilities management company with tender winning processes.
  • Ideally skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel) and computer systems.
  • Experience in design and branding awareness and able to work to deadlines, staying well organised with a keen eye for detail.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional, trusting relationships across multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to prepare high quality written material and to make oral presentations that meet the needs of a wide range of audiences in a compelling way.

Please note that due to the fact CBC operates in a number of high risk and vulnerable settings, such as Aged Care and Health, being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 is a prerequisite for this role.
