About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager with a strong background in meat processing and food packaging equipment sales to join our client. In this role, you will focus on developing and growing their customer base, delivering tailored solutions, and driving sales across the Victorian territory. Your in-depth industry knowledge will be essential as you engage with customers, understand their specific equipment needs, and provide expert advice to help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads and identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, attending events, and leveraging online platforms. Use market research to target key decision-makers.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand client challenges and objectives, delivering tailored product demonstrations that highlight value and solutions.
- Seek opportunities with existing and new customers through consistent contact and follow-up.
- Deliver engaging sales presentations showcasing product features, benefits, and ROI to prospective clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market developments, using insights to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: At least 4 years' experience in equipment sales, specifically in the meat processing and food packaging equipment industry, with a proven track record of achieving KPIs and targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A customer-focused mindset, driven by a commitment to providing exceptional service and support.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
