Your New Role

We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage a portfolio of key accounts in the hire industry, specifically within the construction, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role focuses on both nurturing existing relationships and hunting for new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value, Tier 1 customers, primarily focused on hire services.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Respond to bids, prepare proposals, and engage in pricing exercises.
  • Target high-growth sectors, including State Government projects and major upcoming initiatives (e.g., Olympics).
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery, including the hire team and project managers.
  • Analyze market data, pricing trends, and customer needs to inform strategies and decision-making.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in the construction, hire, or related services industries.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to manage pricing and prepare bids.
  • Experience in modular building industry, construction, equipment hire, or contracted services (waste, telecommunications or transport).
  • Strong focus on client satisfaction and long-term relationship building.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams across different functions.
  • Focused on continuous personal and professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); experience with MS Dynamics or Salesforce is a plus.
