The purpose of the Business Development Manager's role is to generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing, and forecast sales revenue with the ultimate goals to maximize sales profitability, achieve growth targets, and promote Inlogik's presence and products.
About the position:
- Developing and maintaining new and existing relationships with partner organisations to maximise new referral and sale opportunities.
- Manage a pipeline of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities including pipeline updates in CRM.
- Collate the information to facilitate the preparation of detailed proposal documents.
- Display a complete understanding of Inlogik pricing and proposal models resulting in effective negotiation of price, costs, delivery, and product implementation requirements with potential clients.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and feedback on areas where improvements could be made.
- Educate new employees on the sales process and provide training presentations.
- Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to ensure effective presentation of Inlogik's products to prospective clients.
- Gain a clear understanding of potential clients' businesses and requirements and manage the client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle and be available for escalations during the implementation phase.
- Develop growth strategies and plans and present them to the Sales Team.
- Research business opportunities and viable income streams.
About you:
- Experienced Business Development Manager within the Software realm.
- Prior experience with Expense Management Software (desired).
- Well-versed and experienced with sales, business development, or related positions.
- Strong understanding of corporate business, value proposition, market position, and core competencies.
- Strong understanding of financial industry dynamics, market structure, and trends.
- Experience leading the release and management of complex enterprise software products and solutions for Blue-Chip Clients.
- Prior experience working with revenue targets.
- Proactive and goal-oriented.
