Your New Role We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR). This role will focus on the hire business within the construction and commercial and industrial sectors, primarily targeting new business acquisition.
Responsibilities - Develop relationships with potential customers, focusing on both organic growth and proactively hunting for new business.
- Actively source and generate new leads to build a portfolio from scratch.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, hire, project management) to support business development and client success.
- Achieve set financial targets related to units on rent and business development goals.
Skills & Experience - Prior B2B sales experience is beneficial, particularly in modular building or equipment hire services or related industries (construction, waste, telecommunications, etc.).
- Strong analytical mindset and comfortable working with involved systems and processes.
- Excellent listening and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work autonomously with strong time management skills.
- Ability to persevere in the face of challenges and keep pushing towards business goals.
- Dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences and building strong client relationships.
- Collaborative team player who works well across functions.
- Committed to continuous learning, adapting to change, and pursuing growth opportunities.
- Role allows flexibility in managing your own schedule, with customer facing (2-3 days per week) and office-based time.
