This is an exciting time to join ACAP as after more than 40 years of delivering high quality courses and over 25,000 graduates across six Australian campuses, ACAP has recently been elevated to University College status by the Australian regulator as a recognition of our high performance.

ACAP is now seeking a Chair of Counselling, which is the lead scholar for the discipline of Counselling and will provide contemporary teaching and research leadership whilst driving growth and innovation across the Counselling discipline at a national level.

This role, appointed at a professorial rank, will actively engage with the wider professional and other external stakeholder communities whilst strengthening our partnerships with a range of sectors including Mental Health and Wellbeing; Addiction and Substance Abuse, Child, Adolescence and Families; Community Support; Crisis Support; Grief and Bereavement; and Trauma Support.

ACAP offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses accredited by the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. ACAP graduates are provided with expert mentorship and hands-on learning to develop the practical and soft skills needed to forge a successful counselling career.
