Chief Security Officer

- Located on the Parliamentary Precinct with hybrid work (work from home 2 days a week)
- Grade 7 (STS) - salary range of $177,488 - $241,387 (commensurate with experience), plus 11.5% superannuation

About the role
This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced people leader to manage all aspects of security on the Parliamentary precincts and across a portfolio of 128 electorate offices. As the Chief Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to drive change and implement continuous improvement, deploying new technologies and methodologies whilst leading a cohesive highly skilled security team.
As the Chief Security Officer, you will:
- Develop and manage a team of security professionals, fostering a positive and engaging team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and a client focused approach to all service delivery.
- Be responsible for ensuring that security services for the Parliament of Victoria and parliamentary departments are delivered at the highest standard, in line with the Australian Government's 'Protective Security Policy Framework'.
- Use your in-depth security knowledge to develop effective risk strategies that enable effective control systems and treatment plans to minimise risk and ensure facilities are not compromised.
- Build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, provide authoritative security advice, and foster a culture of strong security awareness, reinforced through training and practices.
