Our client is a dynamic, technology-focused insurance brokerage startup who has experienced exceptional growth in their first few months of operating. With a strong, diverse management team bringing over 70 years of industry experience, they are poised for rapid growth and are seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead their claims division.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial claims across multiple industries. Our client is looking for a Claims Manager with 5+ years of experience, ideally from a broking environment, though insurer backgrounds will also be considered.

What will you be doing?
  • Handle a broad range of commercial claims from lodgement to resolution, ensuring clients receive timely and effective support.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the claims process and negotiating favourable outcomes.
  • Work closely with insurers and underwriters to ensure fair settlements and proactive claims handling.
  • Develop and enhance internal claims processes to improve efficiency and client experience.
  • Identify potential risk exposures for clients and provide strategic claims advice to mitigate future issues.
  • Work closely with the broking team to ensure seamless claims support and maintain strong client relationships.

What do you need?
  • 5+ years of claims management experience in a broking or insurer environment (broking preferred).
  • Strong understanding of commercial and domestic insurance claims, including financial lines, professional indemnity, property, and liability.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience dealing with insurers, underwriters, and clients.
  • A client-first mindset with the ability to provide clear, professional advice.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex claims.
