Weeks worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)
Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 1 day per week, 4.5 hours per week (relief work and extra hours possible) Wednesdays from 8:50am - 1:20pm
Salary level, range or hourly rate: School officer Level 3 (School Salary Scale) /(Services Salary Scale)

We are seeking a School Officer to support classroom teachers in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and in supporting the needs of our students.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of resources
  • Supporting students to engage in their learning
  • Supporting teachers to provide adjustments for students
  • Using technology to support learning activities
  • General classroom support
  • And some administrative duties

Ideally you will have a passion for working with children, be excited to work in a team, demonstrate effective communication skills and be willing to provide support for the needs of our students.

Previous experience as a School Officer and/or a Cert 3 in Educational Support would be considered an advantage.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment;
  • Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • Have a commitment to Safeguarding
    • The Archdiocese of Brisbane has standards of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
