Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial and Construction Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will support our attorneys in all aspects of commercial and construction litigation, including case management, legal research, document preparation, and trial support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing litigation cases from inception through resolution, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and review pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Discovery: Manage the discovery process, including organizing, reviewing, and producing documents, and coordinating with clients and experts.
  • Trial Support: Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating witness logistics.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to obtain information, provide updates, and respond to inquiries.
  • Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification from an accredited program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in commercial and construction litigation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and document management software (e.g., Relativity).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
