This role is on-site and hands-on, you will play a key role in driving the project's success.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all activities within your scope, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards while delivering on time, within budget, and to Primero's high standards.

This role is FIFO from Perth, Western Australia, on a 2/1 roster.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively plan the works assigned to you on the project to ensure that the resources required to meet your primary purpose are adequate and fit for purpose.
  2. Ensure that all data requirements for robust projects and financial control are met consistently, completely and on a timely basis as directed by the site manager / project manager.
  3. Directly accountable for setting up the Supervision Team to ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner for persons working on the site including sub-contractor's workforce and visitors.
  4. In all dealings with Primero's clients or prospective clients, develop relationships which maximise the likelihood of repeat or initial business opportunities.
  5. Liaise with client representatives or sub-contractors on technical and minor contractual issues.
  6. Analyze production records and coordinate mitigation strategies through review of data.
  7. Identify and ensure that change management is identified, and all costs associated with rectifying the changes are identified prior to undertaking the work and recorded and communicated with the Project Contracts Team during the undertaking of the works.
  8. Identify project manning requirements and ensure accurate forecasting of the requirement weekly.
  9. Monitor, expedite and resolve meeting action items attributed to you.
  10. Assist in the development and approval of risk assessments.
  11. Ensure that all personnel working on the site are competent or receive training as deemed necessary to the statutory requirements to carry out the tasks for which they are assigned.
  12. Ensure all incidents are immediately reported to the project manager and to the client site responsible person. Subsequently provide details of all incidents and the required corrective actions to site personnel.

What you 'Can do'

  • Trade/Tertiary/ Suitably Qualified.
  • Must have 10+ years' experience E&I construction of mining and/or oil and gas plants.
  • Minimum 2+ years at Superintendent level.
  • Exposure to EPC environments is preferred.
  • Unwavering commitment to a safety and team first approach.
  • Must have current Appointed Persons-Section 44 qualifications (unsure if this site requires S26 or S44).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a strong understanding of applicable codes of practice.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with the inherent load fluctuations of construction projects.
  • OSH Construction Industry White/Blue Card (Mandatory).
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screen.
