The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.
We are seeking a Hungarian speaking social volunteer to visit our elderly client at home in Yagoona. Our client enjoys playing cards and would like to get back into gardening. She would enjoy meeting a Hungarian speaking person, who might also enjoy gardening to visit for a cuppa and a chat.
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
