High-profile investment management firm are seeking a Corporate Affairs Advisor to join their high performing Corporate Affairs team.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, this critical role will see you working alongside the investment and finance teams to ensure all shareholder engagement, communications, marketing and brand initiatives are strategically aligned and constantly improved.

You will be responsible for:
  1. Shareholder engagement - maintain and analyse shareholder data, such as feedback, sentiment, buying and selling activity, to understand shareholder behaviours and improve customer service.
  2. Proactively and accurately respond to prospective and existing shareholder inquiries.
  3. Manage partner relationships, such as share registries, to ensure high levels of service across all touch points, including inbound and outbound emails and calls, shareholder, planner and stockbroker events and internal reporting.
  4. Communications - develop insightful, accurate and compelling content across a wide range of channels and subject matter.
  5. Absorb investment insights from the business and broader market, including ASX announcements such as annual and interim reports and results announcements, monthly investment updates, op-eds, policy submissions, presentations, media relations and social media.
  6. Marketing - work towards closing share price discounts to net tangible assets (NTA) and growing listed investment companies trading at premiums.
  7. Lead and execute communication and engagement on capital management initiatives such as share purchase plans, rights issues, option issues and M&A.
  8. Closely follow market participants, competitors and the broader business community to leverage insights and ideas, including shareholder emails, project plans, shareholder call campaigns, engagement reporting and market analysis.
  9. Brand - manage external affairs to ensure the business is represented accurately, including branding oversight, philanthropy and sponsorship management.
You will have:
  1. Tertiary qualifications in PR, Communications, Journalism, Business or relevant.
  2. Experience in a corporate affairs/communications or marketing role gained in a complex, matrixed corporate environment, or PR agency.
  3. Highly developed analytical skills, demonstrating the capability to analyse and interpret complex information from a broad range of sources and to present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  4. Technically superior verbal and business writing communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with high quality and exceptional customer service.
  6. Previous experience working in financial services or ASX-listed businesses will be highly regarded.
  7. Previous experience gained from commercial roles advising or working within growing businesses will be highly regarded.
  8. Passion for financial markets and a love of creative writing is essential.
