Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely completion for internal and external reporting requirements.
Prepare, review, and distribute consolidated quarterly financial statements and schedules, including reports for ownership.
Monitor debt obligations and ensure compliance with external accounting regulations.
Maintain the organizational structure and manage the setup of new entities, accounts, and vendors.
Supervise treasury operations, including daily transactions, liquidity reporting, and cash flow management.
Lead annual tax-related initiatives, including 1099 preparation, property tax payments, franchise tax filings, income tax entries, and trial balance -preparation for external tax advisors.
Direct the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop and manage financial plans.
Work with operations teams and insurance brokers to oversee company-wide insurance coverage and cost allocation.
Partner with leadership to implement financial systems for cash flow management and reporting enhancements.
Develop, enforce, and maintain internal controls, policies, procedures, and training documentation in line with best practices.
Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, fostering a high-performance work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations for the division accounting team.
Conduct quarterly EOS performance assessments to ensure team development and growth.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in public accounting (audit preferred) or a related field, ideally in real estate or construction.
Proficiency with ERP accounting systems (experience with NewStar, Vena, or Trovata is a plus).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong leadership and management abilities to build and develop high-performing teams.
