The Role:
Cooper Grace Ward is looking for a Corporate/M&A lawyer (2-8PAE) to join our leading Corporate Advisory workgroup. You will have the opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners Charles Sweeney and Andrew Corkhill on high-value M&A transactions, with a significant focus on the energy, mining and renewables sectors.
Our Corporate Advisory group is one of the largest and most successful in the Queensland market, acting for a wide range of premium clients.
The variety of work you will do includes:
- Advising on high-value M&A transactions
- Providing general corporate and commercial advice
- Collaborating with clients to provide solutions and strategic advice on corporate governance
- Advising on merger and acquisition and divestment transactions, including conducting due diligence investigations and drafting key transaction agreements
- Advising on and drafting commercial contracts
- Advising on joint ventures, including drafting shareholder and similar agreements.
Requirements:
- Outstanding technical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate, high quality work
- Dedication to the excellence and the delivery of outstanding client service
- Desire to strengthen and build client relationships to continually contribute to the growth and success of the firm
- Ability to work autonomously and assist with providing guidance to junior team members.
