Job Summary:
The Credit Analyst I performs clerical, administrative, and accounting tasks. They ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for professional customers in stores. This role also focuses on quickly resolving questions, problems, and issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities: - Performs all necessary Mac 21 skills and other third-party software applications.
- Tracks the store applications being processed at headquarters.
- Processes and builds a file for the application process to include all pertinent information for evaluation of credit.
- Assists in the process for credit line increases, authorized buyer changes, and account maintenance updates.
- Transfers, files and processes all credit documents into content manager workflow.
- Communicates status of credit review process to store teams and customers.
- Pulls Equifax.
- Aids store manager or commercial sales manager with customer mailings, blitz advertising campaigns, and other related "target customer" activities.
- Maintains up-to-date, accurate and complete files on customers and general files as required for commercial sales reports and correspondence.
- Reviews over credit line approval/decline as necessary.
- Assists with special projects as directed by supervisor or manager.
- Attends and participates in meetings and company-sponsored training programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Calculates figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Strong skills in multi-tasking, organization, prioritization, and follow-up to manage multiple projects. This includes working well both with minimal supervision and in a team.
- Must have a current driver's license and auto liability insurance.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, IBM Content Manager, Lawson, or related software.
- Previous cashier, office clerk, bookkeeping, and/or collection experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer with a low noise level.
- Standard office hours, with occasional overtime.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds at times.
