Star of the Sea Catholic College is a co-education school with an enrolment of approximately 180 students from Kindergarten to Year 10, situated in George Town, Tasmania.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Curriculum Leader to join our team and lead the development of curriculum across the College. This role is pivotal in shaping the educational experience and supporting the continuous improvement of teaching and learning. As a Curriculum Leader, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers and leaders to deliver high-quality, inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising educational programming and planning across all K-10 year levels.
- Managing resources and budgets for core subjects such as Maths, Literacy, Science, and Art.
- Leading curriculum development in key learning areas, conducting regular team meetings, and fostering a culture of reflective practice.
- Promoting and supporting the use of differentiated curriculum planning to cater to the needs of all students.
- Maintaining a focus on the core work of the College, ensuring that teaching and learning remain at the center of all activities.
Required Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching and curriculum development.
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
- Experience facilitating professional development for staff, with a focus on pedagogy and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships within the school community.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
