In this role, you'll:

  1. Work as part of a supportive and technically innovative team performing data analysis using road safety data such as crash data, licensing and regulatory, registration, offences etc for media, ministerial/parliamentary and other urgent requests.
  2. Liaise and engage with stakeholders to deliver analytics on long-term research projects for road safety.
  3. Explore new technology in advanced analytics in research projects.

Please note that this is a Temporary Fixed Term role up to 31/12/25 and is being offered part time at 3 days per week.

About you

Your experience in databases, PowerBI and Tableau along with strong SQL coding skills and some experience with ETL tools will see you excel in delivering analysis in this role. Your experience in Python, Statistics, Data Science, and Machine Learning will be highly regarded.

You enjoy leveraging your strong communication skills as communicating complex information to various technical and non-technical stakeholders and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships is key.

Please note: this team currently enjoys a flexible hybrid way of working with once a week in the office and two days working from home. This may be subject to change.
