About the role
We're seeking a DCA Administration Officer (12 month fixed-term contract) to contribute to the success of the Company. The successful candidate will ensure they are supporting the DCA's in responding to daily enquiries. The prompt responses to the DCA will provide effective collections in the NAT and retail portfolios, to reduce bad debt and result in amicable outcomes.

Day-to-day, you will:

  1. Action and resolve DCA enquiries within target time frames (24 turnaround time)
  2. Liaise with stakeholders regarding credit management and customer accounting matters
  3. Identify customers experiencing financial hardship and assist them with payment solution options in line with Transurban policies
  4. Monitor systems and processes to ensure timely handling of DCA files and escalate issues promptly
  5. Effectively identify and minimise potential bad debts and negotiate favourable outcomes within a timely manner
  6. Conduct fortnightly reconciliations to ensure DCA are TU systems align
  7. Provide assistance with validating invoices
  8. Provide support to the Senior DCA Administration Officer and DCA Administration Team Leader
  9. Be provided the opportunity to step up in actioning Senior DCA Administration Officer tasks
  10. Support DCA's and enable them to increase collections in the NAT and retail portfolio, nationally
  11. Provide guidance on best practice to resolve issues
  12. Support the DCA Performance Team on insights where possible through query management
  13. Educate the DCA to self-manage
  14. Identify simplification opportunities

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:

  1. Previous experience in credit, accounts receivable or DCA management function (exposure to high workload volume)
  2. A strong knowledge of credit or DCA processes, collection techniques, relevant legislation and credit reporting methodologies
  3. Great communication and interpersonal skills - for effective interaction with team members, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and advanced Excel functions)
  5. Proactive problem-solver with a passion for exploring deep to develop innovative solutions
  6. A curious and adaptable learner, eager to embrace new processes and systems
