EHS Support is seeking a Director of Finance to support our internal operations team and lead our finance team. The successful candidate will be a tech savvy leader. You will be responsible for the overall financial management of the company, leveraging the skills and career paths of the team, to drive efficient processes with a deep understanding of how we deliver projects to serve our clients.
Primary Responsibilities - Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial statements including monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements, cash flow reports, budgets, and financial projections.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and maintenance of financial records.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and bank reconciliation functions (foreign and domestic).
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
- Leverage the use of the ERP system to promote efficiencies within the Finance department and interfaces with project accounting roles.
- Conduct meaningful and proactive variance analysis and reporting to improve key business decisions.
- Grow company value by ensuring efficient working capital, accurate reporting and forecasting, adherence to budgets, and tax strategies.
- Collaborate with Leadership team on financial projections, internal reporting and metrics, and operational efficiency to support growth.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, audit or finance with 15-20 years' experience.
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), preferred.
- Proficiency in software applications. Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel, and project-based ERP systems.
- Deltek Vantagepoint experience required.
- Multi-entity or consulting experience strongly preferred.
- Multi-currency experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, financial modeling and planning, and budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in directing the financial operations of a project based consulting service organization is mandatory.
- Knowledge of project accounting practices and reporting is required.
- Knowledge of tax preparation.
- Operate with a high level of integrity with confidential information.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
