We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as the Director of HR. This role is a strategic partner to our business leaders, driving our people strategy and leading the delivery of HR services across our construction business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a variety of HR functions including talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, and knowledge of employment laws. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow the HR function in a dynamic and evolving organization in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the company.

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive for a minimum of 5 years.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly heavy civil and industrial construction, is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Human Resources or related field; a Master's degree and HR certification would be a plus.
