This is an exciting opportunity where you would be responsible for
- The effective management, development, and leadership of the health service to ensure best practice delivery of hospital, aged residential and community-based services.

To be successful, you will have
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and previous experience in working within an emergency, aged care, and acute care environment.
- Demonstrated ability as a leader/coordinator in diverse team environments.
- Highly developed communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing best practice aged care.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering clinical services to the community and achieving high quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in management of financial, human, and physical resources and the achievement of agreed strategic outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and health regulating Acts, experience and understanding of legislative obligations.
Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program
The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program website for eligibility criteria.
Eligible nurses and midwives at Leonora Hospital could receive up to $10,000 as part of this program.

Area Profile
The Goldfields region of the WA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south eastern corner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (including offshore islands). The WA Country Health Service Goldfields consists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie & Esperance, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton, Leonora, and Norseman. The Goldfields is a culturally rich region with a number of Aboriginal communities spread out across the region, 16 distinct Aboriginal language groups and an Aboriginal population that represents 12.3 per cent of our total population, with 1 in 10 people, on average, identifying as Aboriginal - this in comparison to the state average of 3.6 per cent. The region supports a wide range of industry, including mining, agriculture, aquaculture and tourism. Mining is the predominant sector in the central and northern parts of the region, with a well-established agricultural sector in the south.
