Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners? King's Early Learning Centre, a faith-based early learning service, is seeking a dynamic and creative Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and contribute to our child-centred, Reggio Emilia-inspired educational approach.

Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Early Childhood Teacher experienced in a variety of approaches to learning, curriculum, programming and planning.

The position is a part time (0.8 FTE) replacement contract for commencement in January 2025.

Early Childhood Teachers at King's are not typically required to fill early or late shifts on the roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a stimulating, child-centred, and positive learning environment aligned with our values.
  • Prioritize the pastoral care and welfare of all children in our care.
  • Develop strong relationships with children and help them explore and develop their faith.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies inspired by Reggio Emilia and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Identify individual learning needs and create differentiated experiences for effective engagement.
  • Assess and document children's learning and development in line with policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through various channels, including meetings, portfolios, and reports.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop Individual Learning Plans for children with specific needs.

Essential Criteria

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • A personal commitment to King's Vision, Mission and Values that underpin the delivery of a Christian-based education to students in the School community.
  • A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (minimum Bachelor's degree).
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Reggio Emilia-inspired and child-centred teaching methods.
  • Strong understanding of faith-based education and nurturing a child's faith journey.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
