What we're looking for:
- An individual who can effectively communicate how Employer Sponsored Health & Welfare Benefits work (e.g., Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, etc.).
- An individual with experience managing mid-market to large employer groups for a broker.
- An individual with experience configuring and maintaining Benefit-Administration systems (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, ADP, Rippling, Gusto, Workday, Paylocity, Paycom, etc.).
- An individual with experience reading carrier source materials (e.g., SBC, Certificate of Insurance, Carrier summary, and contracts).
- An individual with an understanding of Health & Welfare, COBRA, and Section 125 compliance rules and regulations.
- An individual with knowledge of Pre-Tax Benefits (e.g., FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, and Commuter Benefits).
- An individual with experience interfacing with client contacts via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings.
- An individual with experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).
- An individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate account performance data and market trends.
- An individual who is adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced environment, ready to tackle client challenges with innovative solutions.
- An individual who embraces digital tools, including data visualization and client dashboard software (e.g., PowerBI), to enhance reporting and communication.

Job Description
As the daily ambassador for Vita on client accounts, you will own the client experience, manage outcomes, and deliver effective, innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Client Experience & Outcomes: Command and manage all aspects of client accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and NPS results.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at both administrative and decision-making levels.
- Carrier Partnerships: Build lasting partnerships with insurance carriers and collaborate closely on renewals and RFQs.
- Proactive Planning: Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure they receive maximum value from Vita's services, including facilitating client, new hire, and open enrollment meetings.
- Cost Modeling: Build and update accurate cost modeling.
- Renewal Management: Proactively manage the renewal process.
- Compliance Oversight: Confirm all necessary compliance processes and documentation.
- Policy Administration: Manage policies, certificates, and contractual agreements.
- Client Advocacy: Act as an advocate for our clients by resolving issues and claims promptly.
- Team Development: Contribute to the training and development of other team members (e.g., Senior Benefits Specialists).
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate consistent growth in industry knowledge.
- CRM Utilization: Effectively use our Customer Service Management (CRM) system to track service and maintain client information.
- Performance: Consistently meet or exceed all performance standards.
- Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities for account expansion and collaborate with cross-functional teams on tailored solutions.
- Market Insights: Keep an eye on industry trends to proactively advise clients on competitive benefits strategies.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Regularly track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as NPS, revenue growth, and retention rates.
- Client Feedback Integration: Gather and act on client feedback to continuously refine and improve service delivery.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive efficiency across client account management.
- Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Proactively assess risks and ensure all client solutions adhere to current regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and video calls.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as collaboratively across multiple functions.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM.
- 3+ years in employee benefits account management.
- Health, Life, Accident Insurance Producer license preferred (required within 60 days of start).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics CRM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with common industry software (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, ADP, Rippling, Gusto, Workday, Paylocity, Paycom, and Wex) is a plus.
- Ability to travel for client-facing and internal commitments.
