EOI EL1 Assistant Director, Data Strategy (Multiple Roles)

The Digital and Data Division within the Office of the National Intelligence (ONI) is dynamic and growing. Data is at the core of our work; we are dedicated to innovation and transformation.

The Team

We are seeking to fill multiple roles within the Data Branch, working under the leadership of the Chief Data Officer. The team is responsible for finding new and innovative ways to harness AI, data, and technology for intelligence advantage.

The Data Strategy team works with the National Intelligence Community (NIC) to coordinate advice on Australian Government policy and frameworks - especially regarding the safe and responsible use of AI. The team engages with national security stakeholders on intelligence policy advice across the NIC and with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Finance, Digital Transformation Agency, Department of Defence, and Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

We are focused on ensuring strategic alignment across AI policy and supporting frameworks informed by the NIC environment, while taking into consideration transparency, trust, and ethics as it applies to AI.
