This is a hybrid role on-site 3+ days per week in Sleepy Hollow, NY and 2 days from home. A fully remote role is not possible for this position. This role cannot be based in Basking Ridge, NJ.
The Executive Director, US Dermatology Marketing Lead, is responsible for spearheading the strategic, commercial, and tactical planning and execution for all current (Atopic Dermatitis and Prurigo Nodularis) and future indications for within Dermatology in the United States. This role involves leading HCP, Consumer, and TLL marketing teams, understanding the evolving competitive landscape, aligning with broader franchise strategies, and customizing approaches for specific healthcare providers like Dermatologists, Allergists, and Advanced Practice Providers, as well as the patients they treat. The Executive Director of Dermatology will report to the Vice President, US Commercial Lead for Dermatology.
In a typical day, you will:
- Lead the development of Dermatology Commercial Strategy and ensure alignment with overall brand strategy with key specialist targets.
- Develop Dermatology-focused messaging and promotional material supporting all appropriate sales forces (SFs), both for Dermatologists and Allergists.
- Partner with the National Business Director (for both Dermatology and Allergy SFs) in the development of specialist-focused planning in support of the evolving Dermatology market.
- Proactively identify customer needs and address key insights.
- Ensure that marketing processes, programs, and internal reports are developed, implemented, and effectively administered to be consistent with corporate guidance and all regulatory, legal, and ethical guidelines.
- Foster strong partnerships with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Market Research, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions in developing HCP and Consumer strategy, tactics, and resources.
- Partner with the Market Access Team to support reimbursement policy evaluation and action.
- Foster strong partnership with co-promotional Alliance partners to ensure strategic/executional alignment across teams.
- Work cross-functionally and within the co-promotional Alliance (partnering company) framework to create, manage, and track the joint budgets to ensure that the Alliance is operating within aligned budget goals and appropriate full-year phasing; and to be consistent with outlined Alliance Brand Strategy and commercialization approach.
- Work with Finance to monitor spending against budget/forecast and report performance results as requested; manage all projects and responsibilities to agreed-upon project timelines, budgets, and scope.
- Manage and provide growth opportunities for direct reports.
To be considered, you must possess:
- A bachelors degree is required.
- 15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical sponsor side industry or relevant professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, product management, or a related industry.
- Dermatology/Immunology experience is preferred.
- Experience in navigating and managing complex alliance partnerships is preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, including weekend travel as needed.
- Strong strategic, business, and scientific acumen, as well as an ability to be laser-focused on execution.
- Ability to operate in an extremely high-paced environment and lead/manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Organizational agility and the capability to quickly identify the need to reprioritize and adapt to external or internal environmental changes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members and across departments to ensure consistency and collaboration in strategy development and implementation of tactics/programs.
- Demonstrated competency in working with Promotional Agencies and in budget management.
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating emotional intelligence with both internal and external stakeholders.
