Responsibilities:

The Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships will be employed full-time to implement the goals of the Lamar State College Orange Off-Campus Initiatives that include, but are not limited to TSUS Polk County Center operations, Texas Department of Criminal Justice credit and non-credit offerings, and Texas State University System Component partnerships.

The ED reports to the Provost of Lamar State College Orange. The ED's Essential Responsibilities include:

Leadership for the initiatives that support new partners and ventures outside of Orange County, specifically related to adult learners. Oversee, support, monitor and track all partnerships outside of Orange County and provide routine updates of enrollment and student success metrics for each respective campus/site.

  • Conduct workforce research and development outside of Orange County in key industry clusters in-line with the College's mission.
  • Advise the President and Executive team on statewide and regional workforce needs and trends that LSCO can support and execute outside of Orange County.
  • Participate in industry-sector and statewide advisory boards to ensure alignment of educational programs to current economic development and employment needs for counties outside of Orange County.
  • Develop and maintain an innovative and strategic plan with measurable goals and objectives that supports College's mission and aligns with Texas State University System targets for LSCO locations outside of Orange County.
  • Promote the College's quality and value to prospective regional and statewide partners, organizations, and agencies in a way that entices them to select LSCO as their post-secondary educational training partner of choice.
  • Direct and manage all CE corporate and community education programs, projects, and initiatives for the College outside of Orange County.
  • Seek grant and external funding opportunities to support expanded workforce and corporate partnerships for partners outside of Orange County.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate budget for the department.
  • Promote and recruit LSCO at community, district, and statewide events, specifically outside of Orange County.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Serve on statewide and institutional committees.
  • Participate in community service activities and organizations.
  • Attend ceremonial and student activities.
  • Engage in professional development activities, give presentations, and moderate panel discussions.
  • State-wide travel required.
  • Site location office hours required with a home base office at either Orange, Lumberton, or Livingston.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTSEducation
Requires a minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with graduate studies in an academic or leadership discipline. A doctoral degree is preferred.Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive college administrative experience at a Texas two-year college required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and personalities; maintain a high profile in community activities.Physical Requirements
Normal ambulatory requirements; extreme cognitive skills required; advanced speech-communication required; advanced written communication required; acute visual requirements; normal or corrected hearing required; and normal travel frequently. Requires constant sitting, walking, and seeing. Requires frequent standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds; operating a calculator, personal computer, and various office equipment. Requires infrequent stooping, bending, sorting and filing. Statewide travel will be expected.Security Sensitive

WORKING CONDITIONS
Statewide travel expected 20-40% of the time.
