The Role:
As an HD Mechanic/Fitter with Bis Industries, you'll be based at our workshop in Paget, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a range of Underground Mobile Equipment. This includes Loaders, Continuous Miners, Shuttle Cars, and Power Generators. Your skills will be crucial for servicing, component replacements, and general repairs, all while ensuring the highest safety and technical standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair & Maintenance: Perform repairs on underground heavy vehicles and mobile equipment following manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve maintenance issues and assist in enhancing maintenance processes and documentation.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Support a proactive maintenance system and recommend potential improvements.
  • Technical Expertise: Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3584 standards and manage the ExDES Overhaul Process.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 months working with underground mining equipment.
  • Qualifications: Any relevant heavy mechanical trade qualification.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License, RIIDES Units of Competency (AS/NZS3584.3), with forklift operation and Dogman certificates preferred.
