Job Title: Gardening & Maintenance Staff

Employment Type: Casual/Vacation

Salary: $34 - $35 per hour

Not for Profit Organisation - access Salary Packaging benefits including Meals and Entertainment packaging to increase your take-home pay. Industry competitive hourly rates, casual loading of 25%, and travel allowance (above award payment). Other allowances will also be paid.

Casual shifts with potential for permanent part-time hours - Monday to Friday.

Accent Home Care is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with lawn mowing, general gardening, and home maintenance tasks for our Home Care clients in Eastern and Southern Suburbs.

Responsibilities:

1. Mow lawns and trim edges
2. Hedge and prune shrubs
3. Weed gardens and remove debris
4. Maintain garden to prevent risks for older people
5. General home maintenance tasks

Requirements:

1. Experience in gardening and lawn care
2. Ability to use lawnmowers, trimmers, and basic gardening tools
3. Reliable, punctual, and able to perform tasks as a general labourer
4. Extremely well organised with the ability to respond to the changing needs of older people
5. Maintain professional boundaries and ensure clients' confidentiality and privacy
6. Ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others
7. Attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Formal qualification/paid or volunteered experience in gardening and home maintenance
2. Multilingual (desired)

Additional Requirements:

1. Current VIC driver's licence and safe driving record
2. Use of own vehicle in sound condition with comprehensive insurance
3. A suitable vehicle that is safe and practical for the role
4. Own equipment for the role (tool allowance will be paid)
5. Current Criminal History Record check - not older than 1 year
