THE ROLE

St Clair Recreation Centre is seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated instructors to work within our Health and Fitness areas. We are currently seeking qualified Group Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers to join our team.

As a Group Fitness Instructor, reporting to the Health and Fitness Director, you will:

• Deliver high quality Group Fitness classes within all prescribed program formats / guidelines.
• Ensure the required Group Fitness Studio is set up and class is ready to start as per scheduled time, and studio is packed up at end of class.
• Ensure the Health & Safety of all participants.
• Foster a sense of belonging and build rapport with participants.

As a Personal Trainer, reporting to the Health and Fitness Director, you will:

• Conduct one-on-one and group personal training sessions.
• Work as a team member to provide the very best fitness and nutrition advice and counselling in a friendly atmosphere and within scope.
• Provide supervision and advice on programs for clients.
• Comply with YMCA systems relating to the screening, management and provision of corrective exercises to all clients.
• Build rapport with all members and staff.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates for our Group Fitness Instructor role will also have, or be willing to obtain:

• Cert III in Fitness and/or Les Mills GEL accreditation.

Successful candidates for our Personal Trainer role will also have, or be willing to obtain:

• Certificate III or IV in Fitness.
• (HLTAID011) Provide First Aid.
