Hawthorn Vet is searching for our next Vet Nurse superstar to join our team!
What we're looking for:
Qualifications & Experience: Cert IV in Vet Nursing and at least 2 years of hands-on clinic experience and strong technical skills in surgical and clinical nursing, including:
- Taking blood samples, placing IV catheters, intubation, anaesthetic monitoring
- Processing in-house lab samples (bloods, urinalysis, cytology slides)
- Performing nurse consults (nail clips, anal gland expression, first aid & triage, history taking)

What we offer:
Work-Life Balance: We offer a great balance with clinic hours from 8 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays, and we refer after-hours emergencies to dedicated services.
Supportive Team: Our clinic consists of 4 vets and 8 nurses, with 2-3 vets and 4-5 nurses working each day. Our Head Vet has 20 years of experience and has been with us for 10 years. Our Practice Manager is supportive, flexible, and dedicated to ensuring job satisfaction.
Great Location & Clients: Located in the leafy suburb of Hawthorn, just 10 minutes south of the city. We have loyal, friendly clients who trust us and value our care and advice.
