Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? This is your chance to lead human resources in a critical role within a dynamic Council.

The Opportunity

As the Human Resources Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and managing HR strategies to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist HR and organisational development advice
  • Managing recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management processes
  • Delivering training programs and coordinating professional development
  • Overseeing workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives in collaboration with the WHS Advisor
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures align with legislative and organisational best practices
About You

You are a proactive and experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of Local Government HR frameworks. You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management (mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years' HR experience in Local Government (mandatory)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of and ability to interpret and apply industrial relations legislation
  • A commitment to employee engagement, training, and cultural development
  • Unrestricted Driver's Licence Class C (car) - Mandatory
  • Clear national criminal history check - or ability to acquire.
  • Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
