The Opportunity As the Human Resources Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and managing HR strategies to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist HR and organisational development advice
- Managing recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management processes
- Delivering training programs and coordinating professional development
- Overseeing workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives in collaboration with the WHS Advisor
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures align with legislative and organisational best practices
About You You are a proactive and experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of Local Government HR frameworks. You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years' HR experience in Local Government (mandatory)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Solid understanding of and ability to interpret and apply industrial relations legislation
- A commitment to employee engagement, training, and cultural development
- Unrestricted Driver's Licence Class C (car) - Mandatory
- Clear national criminal history check - or ability to acquire.
- Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
