We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who is energised and dedicated to supporting our Technology, Strategy, Member and Community and Transformation functions across all HR operational activities. You will thrive in an environment where you are able to confidently manage competing priorities both at the operational and strategic level, while supporting management at all levels.
You will have strong consulting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. You will also have high attention to detail, strong business and commercial acumen, and be comfortable in a transformational environment. You will be joining a collaborative HR team that will embrace your ideas and make you feel supported and included from day one.
Our HRBP team works in a hybrid environment with our current split being 3 days based from our Eight Mile Plains office for collaboration and then 2 days from home for focus work. Given the nature of the work and being client facing, this is subject to change, however we see the value in having the balance of both available and are committed to having arrangements that suit the individual, the team and the broader business.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching across a portfolio of leaders, predominantly in the focus areas of performance and development, manager capability and employee relations and other lifecycle matters (for example general HR operational matters, retention strategies, workplace change and transformation).
- Partner with all colleagues in a highly engaged and passionate HR team to advance culture and employee experience, especially through the creation and scalable development/adoption of processes that bring efficiencies and empower leaders.
- Work hand in hand with other HR Centres of Excellence to optimise and deliver effective and meaningful HR solutions to meet business needs across all facets HR.
- Uphold the highest quality employee relations process and practices, while demonstrating empathy, employee advocacy and fairness to all.
- Leverage your insights to influence all levels of the organisation and effectively handle complex employee situations that could have high organisational impact.
- Present and provide HR updates at regular leadership and management meetings within your portfolio.
- Provide leaders with accurate and timely people metrics to inform key operational and strategic decisions.
- Support the HR Business Partnering team during periods of high workload.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a HR Generalist capacity within a complex medium size business.
- Ability to network and build relationships with management at all levels.
- Confident in responding to varying employee relations matters.
- Demonstrated ability to lead workplace change via involvement in supporting and driving restructures including change management activities.
- Up to date knowledge and experience in applying relevant legislation and HR processes.
- Experience generating HR reporting and interpreting people metrics to drive results.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills and the ability to relate to a diverse range of customers.
- Confident delivering HR data to leadership audiences and engaging managers by providing value-add insights applicable to the audience.
- Well-developed communication skills including the capacity to influence and negotiate.
