Are you an IT infrastructure specialist with a knack for vendor management and relationship building? QTC is looking for someone just like you to lead our outsourced infrastructure and networking services. As Senior Associate, you will join the Service Management & Infrastructure team, part of the Technology and Data Division in Brisbane on a permanent basis. If you're ready to make a significant impact and help lead QTC's IT infrastructure to new heights, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Vendor Engagement: Use your expertise to manage vendors and collaborate with the technology design team.
- Consultancy: Provide top-notch consultancy to non-technical business application owners on cloud infrastructure.
- Transition Leadership: Drive the transition of core business applications from private cloud to hybrid and public cloud infrastructure.
- Maintenance & Support: Ensure our virtual IT infrastructure and networking (LAN, WAN, and internet connectivity) are well-maintained and reliable.
Why this role could be just for you:
- Ownership: Take charge of QTC's outsourced cloud IT services and local and wide area networking. Ensure these services are perfectly aligned with our needs and managed within support agreements, hitting all availability targets and maintenance schedules.

- In collaboration with the Procurement team, maintain governance frameworks for all relevant support vendors covering both support and maintenance requirements for infrastructure and networking services.
- Working closely with stakeholders such as the Finance and Procurement teams, manage the relevant vendors to the agreements developed and governance frameworks, escalating matters where services are at risk or performance does not align to agreed terms. Where necessary, lead the process of implementing any necessary Service Improvement Plans.
- Through effective internal and external relationships, drive successful performance from outsourced support vendors and their infrastructure teams to best align with technology and business drivers.
- Work with the technology design and delivery functions to implement a roadmap for the provision, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of in-scope IT infrastructure and networking equipment, ensuring that QTC's business change governance process is adhered to and aligned with during the implementation phase.
About You:
You will bring knowledge of current IT infrastructure and networking trends, along with industry best practices. You will excel in creating effective relationships, leveraging your experience in managing outsourced support providers in complex, multi-vendor environments.
You will also:
- Lead and manage outsourced IT service providers, apply formal and informal governance processes to drive accountability, risk and financial management.
- Manage change initiatives and projects in the IT infrastructure domain, coordinating resources from multiple suppliers and managing tasks to schedule, risks and communication to stakeholders.
- Bring understanding of contemporary technology project management methodologies.
- Have budget and financial management capability.
- Embrace a proactive approach that prioritizes safety while delivering positive results and continuous improvement.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Microsoft Azure certification (e.g. AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals).
