About the Role:

The position involves teaching Maths and Science, fostering curiosity and critical thinking during these pivotal learning years. Key duties:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum.
2. Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
3. Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
4. Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
5. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
6. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
7. Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

1. Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia.
2. Current VIT registration is essential.
3. Proven experience teaching secondary Maths in Australia.
4. Graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported.
5. Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
