About the role
We are seeking a talented Legal Assistant to join our high-performing Public Law team on a 12-month contract. We are looking for an energetic team player to work closely with an award-winning Partner and the wider legal team.
There is plenty of variety in this role with the key responsibilities including:
- Email and diary management
- Coordination of internal and external meetings/functions
- Opening and closing of matters including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems
- Time entry, preparation, and processing of monthly invoices
- Creating, drafting, editing, and formatting a range of documents
- Maintaining the team's client database
- Booking travel arrangements
About you
You will be a proactive and passionate team member who can maintain ownership of your role in a busy environment where no two days are the same. You will need to demonstrate initiative, a willingness to learn, and display confidence and enthusiasm in completing all tasks. Above all, we are looking for someone who is collaborative and proactive.
In addition to this, ideally you will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or other professional services environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills
- Strong computer skills, and competence in the Microsoft Office Suite (experience with iManage and Aderant Expert is highly regarded)
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within set timeframes
