The Opportunity:

The Brisbane office of a leading brand and global law firm has an opening for a Legal Secretary to support two Partners and their prolific Disputes practice. In this role, you will flex your legal administration and executive assistance skills as you navigate international work and internal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex billing processes and client administration requirements.
  • Proactively organizing Partners' schedules, including extensive diary and travel management.
  • Preparing draft correspondences and documents for client communications.
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation for meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively within the wider legal support and operations team.
  • Handling a wide array of responsibilities and deliverables, ensuring efficiency and precision.

This position is open to those looking for full-time work schedules or those looking for a 4-day work week.


Skills & Experience:
We're looking for someone who is not only passionate about contributing to a team but also possesses:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary within a professional service environment, preferably within legal services with at least 1 year of experience supporting at Partner level.
  • Expertise in matter management and billing, particularly with Aderant Expert.
  • The ability to anticipate the needs of the Partner to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, with a flexible and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to forge effective stakeholder relationships.
