The Role

As a Legal Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Billing management - processing invoices, tracking estimates, and assisting with financial reporting.
  • Matter management - ensuring smooth matter progression and providing administrative support to the legal team.
  • Diary and calendar management - supporting partners with scheduling, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.
  • Document preparation - drafting and formatting legal correspondence, reports, and client communications.
  • General administrative support - maintaining accurate records, liaising with clients, and assisting with day-to-day office operations.

The Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a busy legal practice.
  • Previous experience supporting at least one Partner in a legal setting.
  • Billing experience and a strong understanding of financial processes.
  • Previous matter management experience, with strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with a professional and team-oriented mindset.
