A loving family in Longueville, Sydney, is seeking a highly experienced, professional, and caring nanny to support their 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. This role is perfect for a career nanny who has around 10 years experience and is enthusiastic, warm, and proactive in engaging children in learning and outdoor activities.
About You The family is looking for a nanny who is:
- Warm, engaging, and positive-nurturing curiosity and learning
- Organised and professional-able to balance fun with structure
- Active and outdoorsy-keen to take the children to parks, beaches, and playgrounds
- A great communicator-honest, open, and confident in working with parents
- Creative-able to plan engaging activities for the children
Your Responsibilities & Typical Day A typical day will vary but may include: Monday:
- Helping the children get dressed and ready for the day
- Planning and engaging in fun, educational activities
- Assisting with the baby's naps (2 per day), following the family's routine
- Preparing and organising snacks and lunch
- Taking the children on outdoor adventures (weather permitting)
Wednesday: - Preschool Day-the 4-year-old attends preschool from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
- Spending the day mostly with the 1-year-old daughter
- Light housework while the baby naps (e.g., tidying the playroom, cleaning up after meals, doing children's laundry)
- Occasionally assisting with preschool drop-off or pickup if needed
Requirements - Around 10 years of experience as a nanny or in childcare
- Early Childhood Education degree preferred
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working With Children's Check
- Confident swimmer (preferred but not required)
- Basic cooking skills-able to assist with simple snacks, baking, and lunchbox prep
- Non-smoking
- Full driver's licence - and car to reach the family home. A family vehicle will then be provided for outings to parks, the beach, and the library.
