Job Description
Reporting directly to the Global CEO, the Managing Director will be responsible for leading and shaping the strategic direction of the company's Australian operations. This includes focusing on expanding the customer base, driving revenue growth, and enhancing profitability. You will play a pivotal role in executing the strategic plan, ensuring alignment and engagement across your team. Additionally, the role involves spearheading business expansion efforts, establishing new locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Lead contract negotiations and close strategic deals
- Identify and act on market opportunities before customers request proposals
- Foster a high-performing, trust-based team, driving professional development and managing succession pipelines
- Establish and maintain key relationships with stakeholders
- Financial and legal oversight of the local operations, ensuring strong financial management, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards within the industrial and manufacturing sector
- Represent the company at industry events and forums
- Ensure the company's values and culture are upheld across all operations
The Successful Applicant
- You will have previous experience working in a similar Managing Director or General Manager position within the ground engineering, foundation, and construction equipment sectors
- Demonstrated track record of commercial expertise, including driving sales, business performance, profitability, and national expansion
- A strong passion for leading, developing, and inspiring the local team and operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
