As an Office Manager, you will have a significant influence over our network and the way in which we operate by leading and supporting customer service, freight, and operations, including assisting the Branch Manager as required.
This role would suit a dedicated, motivated, and highly driven professional who likes to take initiative, demonstrates great leadership qualities, and genuinely cares about helping their team members succeed.
The Opportunity:
- Full-time Fixed term position covering Maternity leave with a potential to go permanent
- Lead the day-to-day operations of our administration functions to ensure continuity and efficiency in our Townsville Depot
- Be the key point of contact for all administration staff and onsite customer service team
- Identify training needs within your team and action accordingly
- Professional communication reinforced with a positive attitude to lead and motivate employees
- Effectively assist with customer enquiries via phone and email, including meeting and greeting customers when required
- Provide detailed tracking and reporting on freight movements and deliveries including reporting on misdirected freight
- Efficient data entry, utilizing Followmont systems and producing reports ensuring a high level of accuracy
Qualifications
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced Customer Service based role for a minimum of 2 years; experience within the transport industry is also highly regarded
- Strong commitment to results and a passion for going the extra mile to provide high level service to all of our customers
- A strong level of empathy, resilience, and capability for effective time management in organising and prioritising workloads
- Proven leadership skills and attention to detail coupled with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
