About the role

Join MacKillop Family Services as a Legal and Governance Support Specialist within our Legal and Governance Team, reporting to the General Counsel. You'll manage the intake, recording, and compliance of Subpoenas, Summons, and Warrants, and support operational directors in responding to these legal documents.

Provide high-level administrative support to the General Counsel and maintain MacKillop's Legal Register. If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to contribute to a meaningful cause.

This is a Permanent Part-Time (2-3 days a week) opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC within our Legal and Governance - Corporate Services unit. The position reports to the General Counsel.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Completion of or progress towards a qualification in legal services or law desirable but not necessary, or equivalent work experience.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Privacy legislation and obligations and the different requirements for redacting files for release to clients and third parties, desirable.
  • Experience working as an administration assistant or paralegal, preferably within a corporate or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Analytical and solutions focused with the ability to think strategically and in the best interests of the organisation.
